Spread the Joy!

Looking for a way to give to families in need this season? There are several opportunities to do just that here at the library.

  • Find a Giving Tree on the main floor, where you choose an ornament tag stating the gift desired (many of the requests are clothing items, such as pants), purchase that gift for the child, and return the unwrapped gift to us by Dec. 13th. The Christmas Giving Tree Project helps make the season brighter for children in Richmond, Jonesville, Bolton, and Huntington.
  • Friend to Friend, a new community service group run by local teens, is sponsoring a winter clothing drive. You can drop coats, boots, mittens, warm socks, and other winter items in the bin in our entrance to benefit the Refugee Resettlement Program VT.
  • In the foyer, find a Toys for Kids bin where you can place new, unwrapped toys.
