Poetry Walk along the Volunteers Green River Trail

poetry walk 2

Wendell Berry wrote, “To rest go to the woods where what is made is made without your thought or work.” Go also to the river and the open field. The library is collaborating with the Richmond Trails Committee to bring a poetry walk to the Volunteers Green Trail along the Winooski River. During the month of June visitors to the trail will be rewarded with not just a beautiful place but beautiful words chosen to enhance a reader’s experience of place. “Keep walking toward the next beautiful thing you will do.” —Grace Butcher
