February 25 – 27, 2019
9 am – Noon

Students aged 10-14 can register for this free, hands-on workshop co-sponsored by the library and Mt. Mansfield Community TV. Participants will explore storytelling techniques and create videos featuring the 2019 Vermont Reads book, the graphic novel March: Book One.

The first of a trilogy written by civil rights icon John Lewis, in collaboration with co-writer Andrew Aydin and graphic artist Nate Powell, the book tells of Lewis’s childhood in rural Alabama, his desire as a young man to be a preacher, his life-changing interactions with Martin Luther King, Jr., and the nonviolent sit-ins he joined at lunch counters in Nashville.
