Thanks to the kids and adult helpers who came to the Library this summer and attended a summer program or two. It was an active summer of reading, music-making, craft projects, space exploration, nature appreciation, movies, pizza and ice cream. If you participated in the Summer Reading Program and could not attend the celebration party on August 2 you have until the end of August to turn in your reading record and receive your prizes!
Thank you to the Friends of the Richmond Free Library for funding our summer programs. The hard work of pulling together the annual February book sale seems a long way off, but those labors are very appreciated during the busy, fun days of summer when increased funding is required in order to bring so many interesting programs and events to the library. Funding and support was also received from the Vermont Department of Libraries and RiseVt. In-kind support was received from Our Community Cares Camp, Green Sea and Hatchet. Three Cheers!
Guessing Jar Winners will be posted through the first week of September. If you have been guessing throughout the summer, please stop by to check the winner posters for your name and claim your prize if you are a winner.
Check out the slideshow below of images from the summer. Perhaps you’ll see yourself.
