Interlibrary Loan
We may also borrow items on your behalf from all other libraries in Vermont. Lending libraries set their own rules about what items they are willing to loan, so not all materials will be available from all libraries. Sometimes, we may borrow for you through the Department of Libraries to obtain an item from out of the state. This service is available ONLY to patrons with Richmond cards.
You can also place your own requests. Use the ILL Request Tool to search for and request materials. At login, choose Richmond Free Library from the list (or type it in) if prompted, then put in your patron barcode and your password. Enter your search terms in the blank field on top. The page will populate with results. Click on the title of a book to see your request options and select one. Click request. A form will open up to confirm. Click submit at the bottom to submit. Your request will then be approved by a staff member or we will reach out to you for more information.
