Book Discussion: Gather by Kenneth M. Cadow

Join us for a community book discussion, tea, and snacks, on Saturday, April 12, from 10:30 am – 12 pm, facilitated by Rachael Cohen from Vermont Humanities. Gather tells the story of Ian, a resourceful teenager from rural Vermont, who is working hard to keep his family’s land while his mother tries to overcome her addiction to opioids. The book explores themes of rural life, resilience, class differences, addiction and recovery, housing and food insecurity, a deep relationship to the land, and the power of community.
